Blogs seem to be getting more and more personal by the day, and it's at the point where the number of them is a bit much to follow. This will mainly benefit gmail users (as they visit google more often,) but really anybody who would like to skip the step of separately visiting each blog, and seeing just updated posts all from one place.
Google Reader tracks updates and puts them all before you in one place.
