Over the summer I discovered a website called Hulu.com. This site allows you to watch popular shows broadcast on national television, as well as "webisodes". A "webisode" is a series of short shows made for and viewed only over the internet. The idea of web shows is a fairly recent one that has developed over the past decade. One of these web shows that I watched a lot over the summer is called Web Therapy starring Lisa Kudrow. This show is about a therapist who treats people with one minute web therapy sessions via web cam. Basically, it's a web show about the web.
A more recent web show I discovered is The Garfield Show. Garfield is making a comeback as a cartoon and it will soon be on the Cartoon Network as well as the web. I think the internet is a great way to promote new shows that will be on television or Hulu.
Hulu.com is an easy site to navigate, it's free, and it's legal! There are other shows posted including The Tonight Show with Conan and House.

Love Hulu.com! I also found The Garfield Show, but since I work cannot watch it on Cartoon Network.
ReplyDeleteI've been watching clips and exclusives at http://www.thegarfieldshow.com, and soon they'll start airing full length, free episodes streaming from this site.
